Mill is built on a reclaimed fertilizer research facility that suffered an industrial spill years before the game's fiction — the overgrowth that followed gave the team one of its most distinctive visual identities. The layout draws direct structural inspiration from Cache in CS, making it the most readable entry point for players coming from tactical shooters.

Despite its beginner accessibility, Mill has hidden depth at higher levels: the duct route, catwalk coverage, and mid window room create a web of Spectre setups that experienced players exploit heavily. The balance between approachability and competitive depth was a core design goal throughout playtesting.
